HACKZILLA – 24 Hour National Hackathon | Innovate for Sustainable Connectivity

About the Event:

• Organized by IEEE ComSoc Student Branch of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET), Coimbatore, as part of the IEEE ComSoc Student Tech Leadership Conference 2025.
• A national-level Innovation Challenge and Hackathon with the theme “Innovate for Sustainable Connectivity.”
• Aimed at bringing together young minds to build solutions for smarter and greener connectivity in areas such as smart cities, IoT, 5G, and digital transformation.
• Offers a platform for collaboration, brainstorming, and real-world problem-solving with societal and environmental impact.

Eligibility:

• Open to all UG and PG students across India.
• Teams of 4 to 5 members from diverse domains including software, hardware, electronics, communication, and design.

Event Highlights:

• 24-hour hackathon featuring coding, hardware building, prototyping, and design thinking.
• Rewards worth ₹50,000.
• Free T-shirts, food, and refreshments for all participants.

• Event Dates: 12 & 13 September 2025

Registration Fee:

• ₹500 for IEEE members
• ₹600 for non-IEEE members

Round Structure:

• Hackathon Build Phase: 24 hours of prototype development with mentor guidance and checkpoint evaluations.
• Judging & Presentation Phase: Teams pitch their solutions to a panel of expert jurors.

• Technical execution and feasibility
• Relevance to the theme of sustainable connectivity
• Teamwork and presentation skills
