A Brief Introduction to Hackathon:

An idea hackathon is a collaborative event where participants brainstorm and develop innovative concepts and solutions within a limited timeframe. Instead of focusing on coding or building, the emphasis is on generating, refining, and presenting creative ideas to address specific challenges or opportunities.

What Is Innovesta:

Innovesta is the idea hackathon designed to ignite the creative and innovative spirit of the incoming batch. This event aims to provide a dynamic platform for students to collaboratively brainstorm and develop groundbreaking solutions to real-world problems. By participating in this hackathon, new students will not only showcase their talents and ingenuity but also foster a culture of teamwork, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset within our campus community. The hackathon encourages participants to step out of their comfort zones, engage with diverse perspectives, and transform their visionary ideas into tangible projects, setting the stage for a vibrant and forward-thinking academic journey at LNMIIT.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Eligibility for the LNMIIT Idea Hackathon 2024 is exclusively open to the incoming batch of LNMIIT students. Participants must be newly admitted students for the academic year 2024-2025, ensuring a fresh influx of ideas and perspectives.

Team Formation:

• In our event, each team can have a maximum of five students and a minimum of two students. If you're participating solo, don't worry—we'll help form teams with other individual participants.

Evaluation Parameters

 1. Innovation and Creativity
 ○ Originality: How unique and original is the idea? Has it been done before, or is it a new concept?
 ○ Creativity: How creatively is the idea presented and implemented?
 2. Technical Feasibility
 ○ Technical Complexity: How technically challenging is the implementation of the idea?
 ○ Implementation: Is the idea realistically achievable with the current technology and resources available?
 3. Impact and Usefulness
 ○ Problem Solving: Does the idea address a significant problem or need?
 ○ Impact: What is the potential impact of the idea on its intended audience or field?
 ○ Usefulness: How useful is the solution in a practical, real-world context?
 4. Presentation and Communication
 ○ Clarity: How clearly is the idea presented and explained?
 ○ Engagement: Is the presentation engaging and persuasive?
 ○ Documentation: Is there adequate documentation to understand the idea and its implementation?
 5. Scalability and Sustainability
 ○ Scalability: Can the idea be scaled up if needed? How welldoes it adapt to growing demands?
 ○ Sustainability: Is the solution sustainable in the long run, considering factors like cost, maintenance, and resources?
 6. Team Collaboration and Participation
 ○ Teamwork: How well did the team work together and utilize each member’s skills?
 ○ Participation: Was there active and equitable participation from all team members?

 Terms and Conditions

 1. Eligibility: Participation is open exclusively to the incoming batch ofLNMIIT students for the academic year 2024-2025. Participants must have confirmed their admission to LNMIIT.
 2. Team Composition: Teams must consist of upto 5 members. All team members must be from the eligible incoming batch. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is encouraged.
 3. Code of Conduct: Participants must adhere to LNMIIT's code ofconduct and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment throughout the hackathon.
 4. Submission Guidelines: Projects must be submitted by thespecified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered. Detailed submission guidelines will be provided at the start of the hackathon.
 5. Judging Criteria: Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, impact, and presentation. The judges' decisions are final and binding.
 6. Confidentiality: Participants agree to respect the confidentiality of their peers’ ideas and projects. Sharing or stealing ideas will result in immediate disqualification.
