All that you need to know about Innovize
Innovize is one of the flagship event hosted by Digital VJTI yearly. While most of the hackathons revolve around the same domains and ideas of topics, this being an ideathon event, pushes you off the limits. This event is designed to challenge and enhance your technical expertise, problem-solving prowess, and pitching abilities, all in one dynamic platform.
Creating any project should not just be innovative, but on the other hand feasible to the general public. It's not always about pushing technical boundaries outside, but on inside as well. Dive into the world of cutting-edge innovation as you create technically advanced and practically viable models. Whether it’s AI/ML or Blockchain bring your domain knowledge to life and showcase your skills like never before!
Guidelines:
- They are expected to come up with an optimal solution that addresses the problem, covering every single aspect. The solution should make the best use of their respective domain knowledge.
- The cash prize will be solely determined by the organizing committee, depending on the number of participants, with no consideration given to other factors.
- It should consist of a Use Case diagram along with a Flowchart describing the work.
- Moreover, the impact that the solution is projected to have, needs to be well-stated.
- At the end of three hours, the participants will be presenting the solution to the judges.
- They will have to thoroughly explain the technical aspects of the solution and how it optimally tackles the problem statement.
- The solution will be evaluated in terms of application feasibility, depth of technical knowledge used and innovation brilliance.
- The evaluation will be done individually for each stream/domain.
Rules:
- The compatibility and integration of the ML or blockchain model with the web/app model should be explicitly described.
- Machine Learning: Important components and properties like MLalgorithm, data split for training and testing, and hyperparameters used for fine-tuning and interpretability in case of predictions should be specified clearly.
- Blockchain: Crucial things like deployment chain, smart contracts, consensus mechanism, tokens and cryptocurrencies, web3 integration, security measures, and user wallets and onboarding should be specified clearly.
Dates & Timelines:
- Registration deadline: 12th February
- Round 1 - Pre-assessment task : 12th - 14th February
- Announcement of results of Round 1: 14th February
- Announcement of Problem statements : 14th February (Evening)
- Offline presentation at VJTI campus: 15th February
- Preparation time - 3 hrs
- Presentation
- Evaluation and declaration of results
Overview:
- The competition comprises two independent streams :
- AI / ML
- Blockchain / web3
- Two different problem statements will be provided for the two streams/domains, one for each. The participants are free to choose the stream/domain and should come up with a solution that addresses the problem most optimally and innovatively.
