About the Challenge:
- The National Level AI Grand Challenge 2026 is a premier innovation platform designed to bring together students from across India to solve real-world problems using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- This challenge aims to foster creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical implementation of AI-driven solutions in three domains: Agriculture, Healthcare and FinTech.
- Participants will get an opportunity to work on impactful problem statements, interact with experts, and showcase their innovations to academicians, industry leaders, and investors.
Objectives:
- Promote innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
- Solve real-world Health, Agriculture and Fintech challenges of Bharat
- Encourage interdisciplinary teamwork
- Provide exposure to industry mentorship and evaluation
- Identify scalable and impactful AI solutions
Who Can Participate:
- Undergraduate & Postgraduate students
Team Structure:
- Each team must have 5 members
- Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged
- One member must be designated as the Team Leader

- AI in Agriculture
- AI in Healthcare
- AI in FinTech
Challenge Structure:
Phase 1: Registration & Idea PPT Submission (25th March to 1st April 2026)
Phase 2: Screening & Shortlisting (2nd - 7th April 2026)
- Evaluation based on innovation, feasibility, and relevance
- Shortlisting of top teams for the next round
Phase 3: Mentoring & Prototype Development (8th - 16th April 2026)
- Guided mentorship sessions
- Development of a working prototype/model
Phase 4: Grand Finale (Hackathon/Demo Day) (17th April 2026)
- Final presentation and live demonstration
- Evaluation by an expert jury
Evaluation Criteria:
- Innovation & originality
- Technical feasibility
- Use of AI/ML techniques
- Impact & scalability
- Presentation & demonstration
General Guidelines:
- Teams must register within the deadline
- All submissions must be original work
- Use of open-source tools and datasets is allowed (with proper citation)
- Teams must adhere to ethical AI practices
- Participants should carry valid ID cards during the event
- The decision of the jury will be final and binding
Rules & Regulations:
- Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification
- Teams must not change members after registration (without approval)
- Any misconduct or unfair means will result in disqualification
- Intellectual Property (IP) rights will remain with participants; however, organizers may use project details for promotional purposes
- Teams must comply with timelines for each phase
- Hardware requirements (if any) must be managed by the participants.
- Accommodation can be provided on request up to 7 days.

Awards & Recognition:
