ML Quest: Stages and Timelines

Submission Round

Teams have 7 days to submit their solutions for the chosen problem statement via Google Form emailed to the team leader. Submissions will be evaluated on accuracy, innovation, and adherence to the problem criteria. Only 5 notebook submissions are allowed per team during this round.

Winner Announcement

A meeting link will be shared via email, where the Manager of Information Security at PayPal will address participants and announce the winners.

All that you need to know about ML Quest

​Get ready to put your data science skills to the test! ML Quest is an exciting 7-day ML competition designed for aspiring data scientists and ML enthusiasts. Participants will battle it out across three unique problem statements, each offering a chance to win cash prizes.

  • Event Duration: Aug 24 - Sep 1, 2024

  • Total Prize Pool: ₹4500 (₹1500 per problem statement)

  • Team Size: 3 members per team

​Competition Overview:

​Choose one of the three intriguing problem statements and work with your team to develop the best solution. You’ll submit your work via Colab notebooks, with submissions accepted throughout the contest period (Aug 24 - 30). The competition culminates in a presentation of your implementation and best outcomes, where accuracy and skills will determine the winners.

​Rules:

  • Event Team Formation: Participants must form teams of 3.
  • Registration: Teams must register using the Unstop application and select their problem statement.
  • Submission Limit: Teams are allowed a maximum of 5 notebook submissions via Google Forms emailed to the team leader during the contest period.
  • Final Evaluation: Winners will be declared based on accuracy and skills on 1st Sep 2024 at 9:30 AM. A meeting link will be shared via email, where the Manager of Information Security at PayPal will address participants and announce the winners.

Problem Statements:

  • Predicting Air Quality: Create a regression model to predict air quality indices based on sensor data.
  • Identifying Fake Job Listings: Build a classification model to determine the legitimacy of job postings.
  • Predicting Flight Prices: Develop a regression model to estimate flight prices based on various factors.
