Abstract Submission – NEXTGEN-AI 2026
This round focuses on the submission of project abstracts for NEXTGEN-AI 2026 Hackathon organized by NUVIA – The SPEC Club. Participants must submit a concise abstract strictly following the prescribed structure, which includes: Selected Problem Statement (from the provided list or Open Innovation) Proposed Solution Idea AI Tools/Technologies to be Used Expected Impact and Outcomes ⚠️ Important Guidelines: Participants are strictly required to follow the above abstract structure. Abstracts that do not adhere to the mentioned format may be rejected or disqualified. Teams opting for Open Innovation must clearly explain the originality and relevance of their idea. The submitted abstracts will be evaluated based on clarity, innovation, feasibility, and relevance. Teams whose abstracts meet the evaluation criteria will be shortlisted for the next round of the hackathon.
Offline Hackathon – NEXTGEN-AI 2026
This round is the Offline Hackathon phase of NEXTGEN-AI 2026, open exclusively to teams shortlisted from the Abstract Submission round. Shortlisted teams are required to participate in person and build a working prototype of their proposed solution within the given time frame. Participants must demonstrate the practical implementation of their idea using appropriate AI tools, technologies, and frameworks. Key Highlights: Offline, on-campus hackathon Open only to shortlisted teams Development of a functional prototype Evaluation based on innovation, technical implementation, user experience, and impact Teams will be evaluated by a panel of judges, and final results will be announced at the end of the hackathon.
All that you need to know about Nextgen-AI 2026
NEXTGEN-AI 2026 is a flagship offline AI hackathon organized by NUVIA – The SPEC Club, St. Peter’s Engineering College, in collaboration with Google Gemini. The event is designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to building innovative, real-world AI solutions using modern and industry-relevant technologies.
(Mainly for the First Year Students)
The hackathon brings together passionate innovators, developers, and problem solvers to work on diverse problem statements spanning multiple domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare, Agriculture, Cybersecurity, Waste Management, and Open Innovation.
Shortlisted teams from the abstract submission round will participate in an on-campus, time-bound hackathon, where they will design, develop, and demonstrate functional AI-powered prototypes. Participants are encouraged to leverage Google Gemini and other advanced AI tools to build scalable, impactful, and practical solutions.
All participants who successfully take part in the offline hackathon will receive official participation certificates featuring Google Gemini collaboration branding, adding professional value and industry recognition to their achievements.
NEXTGEN-AI 2026 aims to foster innovation, technical excellence, and collaborative learning, while bridging the gap between academic concepts and real-world AI applications.
Event Duration & Facilities
NEXTGEN-AI 2026 is structured as a single-day, approximately 10-hour offline hackathon conducted entirely on campus. As the event is designed to be completed within one day, accommodation facilities are not provided.
However, participants will be provided with essential on-campus facilities, refreshments, support, and event resources to ensure a smooth and productive hackathon experience.

Participation is open only to eligible students as defined by the organizers.

Teams must complete all submissions within the specified deadlines.

Use of unethical AI practices, plagiarism, or copied content will result in immediate disqualification.

Teams must maintain originality in both idea and implementation.

Decisions of the judging panel and organizing committee are final and binding.

Participants must follow all instructions communicated by the organizers during the event.

Round 2: Offline Hackathon – Rules
- In this round shortlisted teams's need to pay 150/- per head (money will not be refunded)

This round is offline and on-campus, open only to shortlisted teams.

Teams must develop and present a working prototype within the allotted time.

Participants are encouraged to use Google Gemini and other AI tools during development.

Teams must be prepared for live evaluation and demonstration.

Pre-built projects or fully completed solutions are not permitted.

Any form of misconduct or rule violation will result in disqualification.
Certification & Recognition

All teams that successfully complete the offline hackathon will receive a Participation Certificate featuring Google Gemini collaboration branding.

Winners and special-category teams will receive additional certificates and recognition as announced.
