Robothon (Robotics Hackathon)

Robothon is an engaging and competitive robotics event where participants design, build, and test robotic solutions to a challenging problem statement, fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The registration fee includes a kit worth ₹3,000, which participants can keep after the event.

Basic Details

• Total Prize Pool: ₹25,000.
• Registration Cost: ₹1,999 (per team) [includes kit worth ₹3000+]
• Team Size: 1–4 members.
• Event Date: 15th February 2025 to 16th February 2025.
• Event Mode: Offline.

Rules & Regulations

• Teams will receive a standard set of equipment, and additional items are not allowed unless approved by the organizers.
• Support equipment such as cutters, soldering stations, and scissors will be available.
• Participants must adhere to the timeline for designing, building, and testing their robots.
• Projects must directly address the provided problem statement, which will be assigned at the venue.
• Designs must be original and created entirely by the team.
• Safety guidelines must be strictly followed, and violations may lead to disqualification.
• Misconduct, cheating, or tampering is prohibited. Participants must respect others and avoid disrupting the event or harassing organizers and judges.
• Damage to property during the event will result in penalties, including disqualification and fines.
• In case of ambiguity, the organizers’ decision will be final and binding, and no further appeals will be entertained.
• Judges’ decisions are final. Participants must align their work with the judging criteria.
• Participants are encouraged to bring extension cords or power strips for their devices to avoid delays.

Judging Criteria

• Design: Creativity and clarity of the robot’s design will earn 20 points.
• Construction: Precision and efficient use of materials will earn 30 points.
• Functionality: Effectiveness in solving the problem will earn 30 points.
• Presentation: Clear explanation and demonstration of the robot will earn 10 points.
• Adherence to Rules: Compliance with guidelines and deadlines will earn 10 points.

Important Note:

• If an event has low participation, organizers may cancel it. In that case, you will receive a refund and be informed beforehand.

On-Campus Accommodation Details:

1. Only participants registered for at least one event can avail accommodation.
2. If your event is scheduled for a specific day (e.g., Event A on Day 1), you can:
   • Book accommodation for only that day (e.g., Day 1).
   • Choose to stay for all three days if needed.
3. Booking accommodation for unrelated days is not allowed. For example, if your event is on Day 1, you cannot book accommodation only for Day 3.
4. Accommodation Price: ₹900 per night (Triple sharing, AC rooms).
5. Perks Included:
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 1 (15th February): Entry to the Prom & DJ Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 2 (16th February): Entry to the Fashion Show & Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 3 (17th February): Entry to the Finale Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
6. Each guest will receive two meal coupons, which can be used for any meal in the university mess (Lunch/Snacks/Dinner/Next Day Breakfast).

Travel Details:

• Bennett University offers chargeable bus services (₹60 one way) from Botanical Garden Metro Station to the campus in the morning and back in the evening. Seats are first-come, first-served, and the schedule will be shared after registration.
