Sankalp Bharat Hackathon: Stages and Timelines
Ideation Phase
- In this initial virtual round focused on ideation and problem-solving, teams must select a problem statement from the official Sankalp Bharat hackathon website to develop an innovative solution.
- The problem statements, specifically focusing on the core domains of Environment, Sustainability, and Agriculture, will be officially released on 19 March 2026.
- To complete this phase, participating teams are required to articulate their ideas by submitting a presentation strictly formatted according to the provided PPT template.
Online Pitching and Grand Finale
Shortlisted teams will proceed to the video pitching phase, where they must submit a recorded presentation with registration fees explaining their proposed solution between 8th April and 10th April 2026. All submissions will be evaluated. Additionally, a free workshop will be conducted on 11th April 2026 for all registered participants to guide them for the upcoming hackathon. The final shortlisted teams will participate in a 24-hour offline hackathon from 17th April to 18th April 2026 at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur. During this phase, teams will be provided with problem statements and necessary briefings in advance. They will be required to develop a working prototype, implement their solution, and present it before a panel of judges.

About the Hackathon:
SANKALP BHARAT is a National Level Hackathon designed to empower engineering students to build innovative, sustainable, and socially impactful technological solutions aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The hackathon provides a platform for students to transform real-world problem statements into scalable technological solutions through innovation, collaboration, and rapid prototyping.
Participants will compete in a multi-phase format consisting of a virtual elimination round followed by an intensive 24-hour offline hackathon, where shortlisted teams will develop working prototypes under expert mentorship and evaluation.
Registration Details:
- Free Registration for Round 1
- Team Size: 2 to 6 members
- Registration deadline : 05:00 PM IST , 6th April 2026
Eligibility Criteria:
Participants must meet the following conditions:
- Open to all Diploma, B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc., and B.Voc students from recognized colleges and universities across India
- Participants must register as a team of 2 to 6 members
- Teams may consist of students from different academic years or disciplines but must designate one team leader
- Inter college teams are allowed
- Each participant can be part of only one team
- All participants must carry valid college ID cards during the offline finale
Documents to be Submitted:
All shortlisted teams must submit copies of the following documents during the offline round:
- Undertaking form provided by organizing team
- Aadhar card copy
- College ID card copy
Each participant must bring a copy of the above documents for verification.
Hackathon Workflow: The hackathon will be conducted in two structured phases.
Phase 1: Ideation Round
Problem Statement Release:
- 19 March 2026
- Participants will receive problem statements aligned with sustainability, environment and agriculture theme on our official website : sankalpbharat.stvincentngp.edu.in
Submission Requirements:
- Teams must submit a PPT strictly according to the provided template
Selection Criteria:
- Top 50 percent of teams will qualify for the Next Round
Result Announcement:
- Tentative Date: 8 April 2026
Phase 2: Virtual Evaluation Round
Duration: 8th April – 10th April 2026
- Shortlisted teams must submit a recorded video pitch explaining their solution for online evaluation
