CodeDuet – Pair Programming Competition
Under the Banner of TechFusion 2K25
Organised by the Students’ Association of Information Technology (SAIT)
Venue: Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli
Date: 4th October 2025
About CodeDuet:
- “Two Minds, One Code” – CodeDuet is an exciting pair programming competition designed to test collaboration, problem-solving, and coding efficiency. Teams of two will compete in two intense rounds, combining aptitude, pattern coding, and classical problem-solving — proving that two heads really do think better than one!
Round 1 – Aptitude + Pattern Coding (Elimination Round):
- Mandatory: All registered teams must attempt Round 1.
- Shortlisting: Top-scoring teams will qualify for Round 2.
- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
- Platform: HackerEarth
- Question Pattern:
- C, C++, DSA, Logical Reasoning
- Pattern Printing Coding Questions
- Difficulty: Mix of easy, medium, and hard questions
- System Provision: 1 PC per duo will be provided
- Malpractice Policy: Any team caught cheating will be disqualified immediately
Round 2 – Classical Coding Contest (Final Round):
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- Platform: HackerEarth
- Question Pattern: Coding problems with varying difficulty
- Language Flexibility: C, C++, Python, Java (participants can use their preferred language)
- System Provision: 1 PC per duo will be provided
- Malpractice Policy: Strictly enforced; malpractice will result in immediate disqualification
Rules & Eligibility:
- Mode of Event: Strictly offline, held in two rounds
- Team Size: 2 members per team
- Eligibility: Open to students from all colleges and branches
- Guidelines: Participants must adhere to platform rules and guidelines
- Question Order: Problems may not be in ascending order of difficulty
