Wacky Web (Front-end Development Competition)

Wacky Web is a front-end competition where participants design intentionally bad yet functional static websites. The challenge lies in creating a website that serves a basic purpose while featuring poor design choices, confusing navigation, and an overall frustrating user experience, all executed in an entertaining and humorous manner. The event draws inspiration from "India’s Got Latent," where participants predict their scores, and if the judging panel’s average matches their assumption, they win.

• Total Prize Pool: ₹8,000
• Registration Cost: ₹299 (per team) 
• Team Size: 1–3 members
• Event Date: 16th February, 2025
• Event Mode: Offline

Rules & Regulations

• Only static websites are allowed.
• The site must achieve a clearly stated basic function.
• The site must work despite its intentionally bad design.
• All content must adhere to clean and appropriate standards.
• Submissions must be original and submitted before the deadlines.

Judging Criteria

• The hilariously bad and over-the-top nature of the design.
• The website must fulfill its intended purpose.
• The more frustrating and confusing the navigation, the better, while still allowing users to complete the intended task.
• Participants give an expected score, and if the judging panel’s average score matches their assumption, they win.

Important Note:

• If an event has low participation, organizers may cancel it. In that case, you will receive a refund and be informed beforehand.

On-Campus Accommodation Details:

1. Only participants registered for at least one event can avail accommodation.
2. If your event is scheduled for a specific day (e.g., Event A on Day 1), you can:
   • Book accommodation for only that day (e.g., Day 1).
   • Choose to stay for all three days if needed.
3. Booking accommodation for unrelated days is not allowed. For example, if your event is on Day 1, you cannot book accommodation only for Day 3.
4. Accommodation Price: ₹900 per night (Triple sharing, AC rooms).
5. Perks Included:
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 1 (15th February): Entry to the Prom & DJ Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 2 (16th February): Entry to the Fashion Show & Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 3 (17th February): Entry to the Finale Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
6. Each guest will receive two meal coupons, which can be used for any meal in the university mess (Lunch/Snacks/Dinner/Next Day Breakfast).

Travel Details:

• Bennett University offers chargeable bus services (₹60 one way) from Botanical Garden Metro Station to the campus in the morning and back in the evening. Seats are first-come, first-served, and the schedule will be shared after registration.
