Demo: Stages and Timelines

Round 1: Screening Round

Upload a video pitch of the team presenting their solution on the chosen or decided problem statements, within 2 - 6 minutes using any presentation platform. Ensure that the audio and video of all participants is clear. Adhere STRICTLY to the time limit and presentation format. Turn in both, the ppt and pitch video as the submission for this round.

We present to you HACKMITWPU 2024, a platform for you to showcase your ideas and give yourself a boost towards an exciting future. 

  • This track is open to everyone who can concoct tangible hardware and software solutions to various problem statements within the given span of time.
  • Submit your innovative prototype solutions to the proposed problem statements or present working prototypes of problems identified by you under "Open Innovation". The submission needs to include relevant software/hardware/experiments/simulations/case studies enunciating the solution.
  • Prize categories will include “Best software solution”, “Best hardware solution”, and “Best Interdisciplinary Team” amongst many others. Proposing solutions to company problem statements can result in internships, funding, merchandise, and a lot more.

  • For registration: Team Leader, Members, and Faculty Mentor's details will be taken.
  • The team can have 1 - 6 student members along with a compulsory faculty mentor.
  • The team should consist of at least one female contestant.
  • The team name should uniquely identify your team. In case of name collisions, Team Leaders will be informed to change the team name.
  • No student can be a part of more than one team. No faculty mentor can participate with more than one team.
  • Workathon submissions should have video and PPT submissions following the template given. All details to be included are given on the same. 
  • Workathon submissions should be followed with the team making more progress on the working prototype by the commencement of Round 2. They will be called for remote presentations on meeting links informed to the teams via their leader and mentor's contact information. The presentations may be supplemented with whatever the team deems fit for making their submitted presentation more enriching including case studies, code, demonstrations of working segments as well as other relevant deliverables.
  • After the presentation in Round 2, the team has to submit their updated presentations and prototypes updating their deliverables with concerned inputs.
  • Team selection for Round 2 will be done on the basis of the submitted presentation and/or video. All teams under respective domains will be given equal preference during selection.
  • Team selection for Round 3 will be done on the basis of the decision made by the jury on the basis of their presentations in the remote round.
  • The decision of organizers and/or judging panel is final for selecting the teams in all rounds.
  • You must report on time for all subsequent rounds in case you are selected. You are expected to work at your allotted location at the venue to work on your idea/solution on Hack Day. The inability to do the same will result in disqualification.
  • You're expected to work towards your final idea/solution, as soon as Round 1 results are announced.
  • In the case any team attempts to steal another team's materials, files, software, equipment, etc, strict actions will be taken by MIT-WPU.
  • Teams are not allowed to discuss strategy, suggestions, or tips with other teams.
  • The decision of judges is final for determining prizes and awards.
  • Please comply with all instructions from HackMITWPU organizers.
