Airbus is hiring for the role of Avionics Systems In-Service Engineering Internship!
Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Assist in the analysis of in-service data (e.g., flight data, maintenance logs, pilot reports) related to avionics systems to identify trends and potential issues
- Support engineers in troubleshooting reported avionics system malfunctions and incidents, potentially involving research into technical documentation and schematics
- Contribute to the development and update of technical documentation, including service bulletins, repair procedures, and maintenance manuals
- Contribute to the development and update of various digital dashboards to support troubleshooting and consolidation of fleet issues
- Participate in investigations into component failures or performance degradation of avionics systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and apply engineering principles to real-world avionics challenges
- Learn about various avionics systems, including but not limited to navigation, communication, flight control, and surveillance systems
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on in-service performance and engineering investigations
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Avionics Systems In-Service Engineering team
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Avionics, or a related field
- Strong foundational understanding of electronic principles
- Basic knowledge of avionics systems concepts and architecture
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- High level of curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a proactive attitude
- Prior experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) is advantageous but not mandatory
