Mechanical Engineering Internship

Regal Rexnord is hiring for the role of Mechanical Engineering Intern!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Create/modify General Arrangement and manufacturing drawings for various mechanical power transmission products, using Solid Works or other CAD tools (2D & 3D), as per customer needs.
• Perform various calculations using MS Excel and other design tools.
• Identify all components, prepare Bills of Materials, and any other documents necessary for ordering and processing release of drawings, parts, or specifications.
• Provide CAD and other support as needed for CAD automation projects.
• Other activities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering or must be in final year engineering without any backlog subjects.
• minimum 65% aggregate throughout academics.
• Should have basic mechanical design engineering knowledge in areas like machine design, strength of materials, engineering mechanics, manufacturing and heat treatment process etc
• Should have knowledge on any of the CAD tools such as SolidWorks (Preferred)/AutoCAD/Solid Edge/Creo.
• Should have hands-on experience in using Microsoft Office applications mainly Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Experience in detailed components and complex assembly design/drafting in academic projects is an added advantage. • Should be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
• Strong analytical and reasoning ability. 
• Team player, self-driven, willing to learn and adapt. 
• Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Those who have completed engineering degree. 
•  Intern – The who is in the final year of engineering. 
• Candidates applying for GET/Intern position will be given Technical and Aptitude Tests. Shortlisted candidates will undergo Technical and HR interviews for selection. 
• GET will be under a probation period of one year from the date of joining. For Interns, the Internship duration will be six months from the date of joining. 
• All GETs and Interns will undergo both classroom and on-the-job training programs and gain practical exposure to various Global functional areas and understand various lean methods and techniques to improve productivity. 
• During the probation period, the major area of focus will be on learning the roles and responsibilities of a functional engineer, as well as getting an indepth understanding of the company’s values, culture, and expectations. 
• There will be periodic evaluations for the learning and work output. • On successful completion of probation, GET will be confirmed as Engineer as a full-time employee.
