Piramal Group is hiring for Pharmacy Trainee!

Responsibilities of the Trainee:

  • Handle minor setting issues in various machines and run the machine whenever required
  • Monitor speed of machine and output according to the run time
  • Maintain and calibrate various instruments and equipment
  • Develop new operators for operations and machines skill (impart on job training/ classroom training)
  • Monitor and report the unauthorized movement of workers from line
  • Take up the responsibilities of the immediate supervisor for the section in his absence
  • Report on day-to-day basis activities in ERP system
  • Verify the balances on a daily and monthly basis
  • Check all the calibration tags of equipment, instruments and fire extinguisher for their due date from time to time
  • Any other activity from time to time that the supervisor/ company feels appropriate
  • Raise the material requisition note (MRQN) wherever an extra quantity of packing material is required
  • Prepare and cross verify the material return note (MRN) after completion of batch/ product campaign
  • Prepare the line rejection note (LRN) wherever required
  • Generation of required shipper labels of the product

Requirements: B.Pharma graduates

  • Ajay Piramal: the Chairman of the Piramal Group, Ajay Piramal,  is a passionate advocate of trusteeship and responsible business ethos. Apart from having an Honours graduation in Science from Mumbai University and an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, he has also completed an Advanced Management Programme from the Harvard Business School, and has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy (D.   • Swati A. Piramal: the Vice Chairperson of the Group and Whole-time Director of Piramal Enterprises, Dr. Swati A. She has a Medical Degree from Mumbai University and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the prestigious Harvard School of Public Health.
  • Nandini Piramal: the Executive Director of Piramal Enterprises, Nandini Piramal has a degree in  BA (Hons.) Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University, and also an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She also heads the Human Resources function at Piramal Group and the Quality & Risk functions at Piramal Healthcare. 
  • Anand Piramal: the Executive Director of Piramal Group and Founder of Piramal Realty, Anand Piramal majored in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and Business Administration from the prestigious Harvard Business School.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • 4 Pfizer Brands: in 2016, Piramal announced the acquisition of four brands- medicated soap Neko, child nutrition supplement Ferradol, cough syrup Waterbury and pain reliever Sloan of US drugmaker Pfizer for ₹110 Crore in 2016.
  • Coldstream Laboratories Inc: a speciality pharmaceutical contract manufacturer, Coldstream Laboratories Inc, was acquired by Piramal Group in January 2015 for $30.65 million (about ₹ 180crore).
  • Decision Resources Group: a US-based company in the healthcare information segment, Decision Resources Group, was acquired by Piramal from Providence Equity Partners for a consideration of approximately $635 million (₹3,400 crores) in 2012.
  • Mallinckrodt LLC: a portfolio of drugs for spasticity and pain management from Mallinckrodt LLC was acquired by Piramal Group in January 2017 for cash consideration of $171 million and up to an additional $32 million payable depending on the financial performance of the acquired assets over the next three years.
  • Ash Stevens: a US-based contract developer and manufacturer of drugs, Ash Stevens Inc., was acquired by Piramal Enterprises in an all-cash deal for $43 million (₹286 crore) as a step to add high potency capabilities to the services.
