Production Support Trainee

NCR Coporation is hiring interns for the role of Production Support Trainee!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Monitor the performance and availability of our systems, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that may impact reliability or user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including platform engineers and development teams, to implement and maintain scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation tools and processes to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance our infrastructure and operational processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in system administration, network operations, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
