Airbus is hiring for the role of Propulsion Systems In-Service Engineering Internship!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Assist senior engineers in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting in-service data related to aircraft propulsion systems (Engines, APUs, Nacelles, Fuel systems, Bleed and Air systems)
- Support the investigation of propulsion system anomalies, defects, and operational incidents
- Contribute to the development and update of technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring propulsion system issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and customer support, to address in-service challenges
- Prepare presentations and reports summarizing technical findings and recommendations
- Contribute to the development and update of various digital dashboards to support troubleshooting and consolidation of fleet issues
- Participate in investigations into component failures or performance degradation of propulsion systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and apply engineering principles to real-world challenges
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong academic record with a keen interest in aircraft propulsion systems
- Basic understanding of gas turbine engine principles and operation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced engineering environment
