Quality Assurance Internship

Algorithus is hiring for the role of Quality Assurance Intern!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Test Planning & Execution: Assist in designing and executing test cases for software applications. 
• Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and report software defects using bug tracking tools. 
• Manual & Automated Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. 
• Test Documentation: Maintain test scripts, test cases, and test result reports. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. 
• Tools & Frameworks: Gain exposure to QA automation tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or Cypress. 
• Process Improvement: Suggest improvements in the QA process and assist in implementing best practices. 
• Learning & Development: Stay updated on the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry trends. 

Requirements:

• Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• Basic Understanding of Software Testing Concepts: Knowledge of manual testing, automation basics, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). 
• Technical Skills: 
• Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or TestRail. 
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database testing. 
• Understanding programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus. 
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify bugs and suggest improvements. 
• Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to detect inconsistencies in applications. 
• Good Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document and report test results.
