Software Developer Internship

Big Happy is hiring for the role of Software Developer Intern!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Assist in developing responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Translate wireframes and UI designs into functional front-end components
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
• Support integration of front-end interfaces with backend APIs
• Help optimize applications for performance and mobile responsiveness
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
• Use Git for version control and collaborate through structured workflows
• Learn modern front-end tools, frameworks, and best practices under mentorship

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6)
• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
• Familiarity with REST APIs and handling JSON data
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control concepts
• Basic knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQLite)
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills in English
