Software Development Internship

Park Place Technologies is hiring for the role of Software Engineering Intern!

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Build and enhance backend services and APIs used in production.
• Contribute to cloud-hosted applications and understand performance, reliability, and security considerations.
• Write unit and integration tests and actively participate in code reviews.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design schemas and write efficient queries.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features.
• Debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, and help improve system stability.

Requirements:

• 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience through internships, full-time roles, co-op programs, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Engineers with strong fundamentals, not prompt engineers with shortcuts
• Experience with at least one of the following technologies:
  • .Net, C#,
  • Web API, REST.
  • PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL and/or NoSQL databases Cosmos DB, MongoDB etc.
  • Source control using Git and collaborative workflows.
• Exposure to writing unit tests and debugging.
• Team player with a “can-do” attitude and a growth mindset towards learning new skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
