AI Application Developer

Matchbox is a new kind of dating experience—one that ditches the swipes and brings people together in real life. Launched in NYC with growing traction, our mission is to spark authentic connections through curated events and AI-powered matchmaking.

We’re now building the next-gen version of this product with an ambitious team, a bold new design, and a unique approach to relationship tech.

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Build core product flows for event-based dating experiences (registration, onboarding, matchmaking)
• Integrate AI/ML models for post-event compatibility scoring based on user responses and behavior
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and event teams to launch new features fast
• Optimize UX for in-person-first interactions and post-event digital engagement
• Ship mobile-first features that blend real-world social dynamics with cutting-edge tech

Requirements:

• Have experience with  Flutter (or web+mobile app development)
• Are excited about AI/ML integration (OpenAI, LangChain, vector search, or similar)
• Know how to rapidly ship MVPs and iterate based on user feedback
• Have an interest in social apps, IRL experiences, or relationship tech
• Thrive in a fast-moving startup culture with high autonomy
