Role Overview:

We are seeking a PhD researcher or a candidate currently pursuing their PhD in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The primary objective of this role is to design and develop a groundbreaking framework for ethical and emotionally intelligent AI models. These models will need to align with human nature, societal values, and ethical principles, ensuring responsible and humane AI development.

This role draws inspiration from foundational concepts such as Isaac Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics and aims to create similar guiding principles tailored to the modern AI landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and design a comprehensive framework for ethical and emotion-based AI systems.
• Analyze existing ethical frameworks and AI governance models to inform the development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the framework aligns with both technical feasibility and human-centric values.
• Develop methodologies to integrate emotional intelligence and ethical reasoning into AI algorithms.
• Draft research papers, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and progress.
• Stay updated with advancements in AI ethics, emotional AI, and related fields.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or completed a PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Science, or a related field from an esteemed university like MIT, Harvard, or Stanford.
• Strong understanding of AI ethics, emotional AI, and human-computer interaction.
• Familiarity with theoretical frameworks like Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics and their modern-day implications.
• Demonstrated experience in research and development, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of AI regulatory compliance and governance practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing AI models with ethical and emotional considerations.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary research that spans AI, philosophy, and psychology.
