Application Engineer I

Regal Rexnord Corporation is hiring for the role of Application Engineer I!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Review and analysis of customer’s technical specifications and applications to provide product selection with necessary options and accessories.
• Develop technical specification and Provide quotation for linear motion products (Ball screws, Screw Jack, lead screw etc).
• Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, account executives and customers.
• Provide solutions to technical questions and advise with regards to the products.
• Product Interchanges: Provide the optimum technical alternative for competitors’ products or products that are no longer active in our own portfolio.
• Capable to communicate with customers at all levels.
• Determine feasibility of design modifications for non-standard Configurations.
• Coordinate large project inquiries and quotations, which may include a multitude of Regal Rexnord products
• Interact with cross functional teams in the company in obtaining information for quotations.
• Assist in training field representatives and new employees.
• Maintain performance metrics, corrective and preventive actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed college with good academic record.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in designing any industrial products like ballscrews, screwjacks, linear actuators, valves, couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, clutches, brakes, material handling equipment or machine tools.
• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in creating drawings and models using any of the CAD software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
• Experience in using any ERP and PLM will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Industry standards such as ANSI/DIN/AGMA/API/ISO etc will be an added advantage.
• Solid Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards.
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Good Analytical Skills, Decision Making, Critical Thinking
• Good planning and execution skills
• Strong interpersonal skill, Team player & collaboration skills.
