RPG Group is hiring for the role of Assistant Manager - Production!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Implement work schedules, assignments and production sequences for the operators by machine as per shift plan
- Provide inputs to the Production Manager regarding the manpower numbers for operators, contract employees, temporary employees and labourers as required to enable the planning of resources and work schedules
- Assess resource requirements to ensure continuous production flow
- Supervise the overall production to ensure that the production schedule is adhered to during the shift
- Monitor and resolve any issues/conflicts regarding work allocation
- Maintain and monitor daily hours booking in the log books
- Continuously monitor various production parameters like quantity and quality of output, machine utilization, uptime, etc. & update Planning / Purchase/ Maintenance in case of any errors or deviations
- Ensure that shift-wise production targets are met and provide inputs to the Production manager and Planning for the next shift targets
- Maintain and monitor the in-process materials inventory and ensure material safety and security for the shift

Key People:
- Harsh Goenka: The current chairman of the RPG Group, Harsh Goenka joined RPG as Managing Director of CEAT in 1983 at the age of 24. He is a BA in Economics from the University of Calcutta and an MBA from the International Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.
- Pramod Menon: The Group’s Chief Financial Officer and a Member of the Board of RPG Enterprises Limited, Pramod Menon is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a graduate of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

- Smiley strategy: RPG group rebuilds its identity with happiness as the main focus- The RPG group that began life as a tyre company 139 years ago and has today expanded its influence into a host of other areas is rebuilding its identity with happiness as its core value and a smiley emoji as a representation of its corporate vision.
- RPG’s Seniority will launch private label products by the end of 2019- Seniority, which is claimed to be one of the largest online shopping portal exclusively for senior citizens, is planning to launch private label designed products by this year. Corporate Social Responsibility:

- Eye Healthcare: Focussing on Preventive, Promotive, Rehabilitative and Curative eye health interventions, RPG’s flagship program, Netranjali was launched; aiming towards reaching out to beneficiaries ranging from children to elderly to special groups like truck drivers and bus drivers. Since its formation, Netranjali has screened over 550,000 individuals across India and distributed more than 200,000 free spectacles.
- Education: The schooling program under the RPG Foundation-The Pehlay Akshar- seeks to address this social need gap. Working with government school children for 6 continuous years, the project appreciates, motivates and engages young learners to actively participate and learn.
- Women Empowerment: RPG Foundation’s Swayam Project imparts training to women from a less privileged background to be trained in skills that will enable them to procure jobs in the transport/logistic sector and healthcare sector. This project has trained more than 3500 women to take up employment in the Transport & Logistics sector and more than 3000 women are trained as Healthcare professionals since the inception of this project.
