Calderys Group is hiring for the role of Assistant Quality Planning & Control Manager!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Ensure end-to-end quality control for Tap Hole Clay products across all stages of manufacturing.
- Monitor raw material quality, validate supplier inputs, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Oversee critical processing parameters and maintain operational consistency across manufacturing processes.
- Conduct routine and special quality checks to ensure product reliability, consistency, and performance.
- Implement and follow testing protocols aligned with industry standards and internal quality guidelines.
- Analyze laboratory test results and production trial outcomes to identify deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation, certificates, and compliance reports.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and internal non-conformances through root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to improve product consistency, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with Procurement for supplier quality assessments and raw material improvement initiatives.
- Support the Sales team with technical queries, customer feedback analysis, and product performance insights.
- Drive QPC-related improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.
- Contribute to standardization activities, documentation updates, and quality audit processes.
- Promote best practices while ensuring compliance with all safety and QPC requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within refractory manufacturing, preferably in Tap Hole Clay or allied products.
- Strong understanding of raw materials, formulation techniques, and refractory manufacturing processes.
- Experience with testing standards, quality systems, and manufacturing process control practices.
