Oracle is hiring for the role of Associate Consultant - Java!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

  • Participate as a technical team member in development, implementation, or managed service activities such as migration, integration, and testing support—working with both client and offshore teams.
  • Assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions for diverse business requirements in the digital banking space.
  • Develop programs and scripts according to provided specifications within set schedules.
  • Utilize defined tools, standards, and processes to deliver solutions that meet or exceed quality expectations.
  • Document all work in line with agreed standards for compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Adhere to established change control, audit, and compliance processes.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality code delivery with appropriate handovers and knowledge transfers.
  • Provide timely status updates, timesheet submissions, and expense reports as required.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years’ experience in software development, implementation, or support, including at least one year in banking technology domains or digital banking products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices, Springboot, JavaScript, and XML. Familiarity with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database.
  • Exposure to software deployment and troubleshooting using application servers (especially Oracle Weblogic).
  • Experience with source control and release management tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work at offshore locations as required; flexibility to work on rotational shifts.
  • Career Level - IC1
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, SaaS deployments, Agile/DevOps methodologies, and modern testing tools.
  • Understanding of banking terminology and digital banking applications.
  • Experience with Oracle OBIEE Reports, BIP, Oracle Fusion SOA Suite, or related middleware.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with issue tracking systems and client solution presentations.
  • Exposure to software development processes and quality standards.
