Job Responsibilities:
As a Business Developer at Binford Research Labs Pvt Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business and driving growth in the defense technology sector. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential Defence clients, their requirements and pain points, and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with military and defense clients, understanding their needs and providing inputs to technical and product development team to build tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Prepare and submit proposals for projects, contracts, and partnerships with government agencies and defense organizations.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to connect with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities, assessing their strengths and weaknesses to position Binford effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Binford to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Effective communication with the Defence client and understanding of the Military jargon
- Generating leads through cold calling prospective clients or networking at Defence seminars and trade shows
- Developing and nurturing relationships with key customer accounts
- Knowledge of the Defence Acquisition Procedures (DAP) and the GeM procedures of procurement
- Assessing client needs and the pain points and the company’s ability to meet those needs
- Strong understanding of the defense industry, government procurement processes, and the military's needs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and business development goals.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the defense sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge on how to use customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce, to manage interactions
Experience:
- Applicants should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Technology or Business from a top-tier business school. Travel flexibility in accordance with project and business needs is required.
