Cloud Native Observability Strategist

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and implement observability strategies for Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud-native platforms
• Define metrics, logging, and tracing standards to ensure end-to-end system visibility
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize dashboards and alerting systems for actionable insights and reduced noise
• Conduct audits of observability setups to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Stay updated on advancements in observability tools, standards, and best practices

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of observability pillars: metrics, logs, and traces
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger)
• Knowledge of cloud-native environments and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with AI-driven observability and anomaly detection
• Knowledge of service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and their monitoring capabilities
• Familiarity with compliance and security considerations in observability
• Exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid cloud observability challenges
