Job Description
As a Cloud Optimization Engineer, you will work on enhancing cloud infrastructure efficiency, cost savings, and overall performance. You will monitor workloads, analyze cloud resource usage, and implement optimization strategies to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance and cost efficiency
- Implement autoscaling, load balancing, and right-sizing strategies
- Develop cost reports and dashboards to provide optimization insights
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud architects to improve system reliability
- Automate optimization workflows using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Stay updated with cloud-native optimization tools and industry trends
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, Datadog)
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Understanding of cost management and cloud billing concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK)
- Hands-on project/internship experience in cloud cost optimization
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and serverless computing
- Certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate)
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, IT, or related field
- Final-year project or internship in cloud/DevOps preferred
