Design Engineer

Molex is hiring for the role of Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Responsible for the design and development of automation tooling and fixture systems supporting Manufacturing Engineering in Datacom & Specialty Solutions business.
• Develops designs and manages modifications that meet performance requirements as per industry and customer specifications.
• Generates 3D CAD models, engineering documentation

Requirements:

• Experience in design and development of automation tooling system involving design of conveyer pallets and fixtures, locating and clamping devices, guides and aligners based on project needs  
• Knowledge of selection and sizing of automation equipment components such as actuators, sensors, guides, bearings and aligners
• Good understanding of manufacturing process such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes
• Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting
• Ability to conceptualize and generate ideas in design
• Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make conclusion
• Problem solving ability to understand root cause and come up with solution alternates
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and in a team
• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s/Additional qualification in Design/Manufacturing engineering
