DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
• Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Perform regular system updates and patches to maintain security and performance.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect server and network infrastructure.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform regular backups and test recovery processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
• Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in IT projects, including server and network upgrades and migrations.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure successful project implementation.
• Monitor server and network performance using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Generate regular reports on system performance, uptime, and security status.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in server and network administration.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Server Administrator with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in network administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with security best practices and protocols.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Solid understanding of the full server management lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.
