Jefferies is hiring for the role of Equity Research Associate - India Midcap & Smallcap!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Monitor industry trends and market movements to update on impactful events and assess their implications on the stocks under coverage (presently around 8 sectors covered).
- Perform detailed financial analysis and valuation of companies across various sectors using a variety of methodologies including DCF, relative valuation, and precedent transactions.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company earnings and financial performance.
- Collaborate with Lead Analyst to refine investment theses and recommendations and produce well-structured equity research reports
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with company management and industry experts to gather in-depth understanding and insights.
- Support the team in responding to client queries regarding research findings and market developments.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in equity research, ideally covering Indian Midcap & Smallcap sectors (sector-agnostic approach)
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling, Excel and Charts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise research reports
- Knowledge of databases and tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and FactSet is highly desirable.
- Educational qualification - MBA or CA (Ivy League B-School preferred)
