Financial Analyst

American Express is hiring for the role of Financial Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

• Validate operating effectiveness of SOX & Operational controls to support Control Owners / Process Owners in quarterly assertion process
• Drive enhancements in control environment by identifying the improvement opportunities to the SOX/Operational Controls
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including Business, Operational excellence, SOX, ORGG , etc. for quarterly testing and reporting
• In-depth understanding of Risk and Control environment - Knowledge of the Sarbanes Oxley Act including SOX 302 / 404 .
• Understanding of the testing methodology, controls / test procedures interpretation and conclude on testing results
• Incumbent will be required to utilize their understanding of control environment to analyze current practice with a view to improve processes by providing alternative solutions.
• Manage  Annual Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) Refresh for Global Treasury Controllership team
• BC Plan updation/testing  and monitoring the BCP readiness for Global Treasury controllership team.

 Requirements :

• Accounting/Finance degree or CA /M.Com/or MBA highly desired
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy- Proven demonstration of personal excellence
• Ability to process information (identify issues) quickly
• Strong communication skills
• Results driven, self-starter; able to lead and influence without authority
• Works well in a changing environment and with tight deadlines
