Fixed Income Investments Analyst

Black Rock is hiring for the role of Fixed Income Investments Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Partner with credit research analysts, portfolio managers and traders to introduce new technologies to the Municipal Bond investment process
• Serve as a key contributor for scaling our current investment process and creating new investment solutions
• Develop software solutions primarily in Python and SQL
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards to effectively communicate data insights and support decision-making processes
• Provide and maintain clear and accurate documentation on tools
• Provide ongoing support on solutions and tools as the project matter expert
• Identify and implement improvements to municipal data quality to drive operational efficiencies and build scale in the municipal business 

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with additional programming languages is a plus
• Experience with concepts of Machine Learning, Natural language processing and GenAI is an added advantage
• Experience/Familiarity with databases and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Google Cloud
• Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, or other tools to build interactive 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with flexibility to adapt to new technologies
• Familiarity with best practices for collaborative development and code review processes
• Proficient in using Git for version control, including creating and managing repositories, branching, merging, and resolving conflicts
• Demonstrated interest in learning about GenAI and its applications in Fixed Income
• Strong interest in Fixed Income markets
