Grid Compliance Specialist

GE Renewable Energy is hiring for the role of Grid Compliance Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide product development and technical analysis related to power electronics and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, and large industrial drives.
• Review the Grid Codes for different operating entities/owners across the world and develop a product compliance matrix.
• Work with the functional team to determine existing product compliance.
• Develop Compliance reports for each of the product lines and work with the engineering team to address any grid code compliance issues.
• Develop a technical understanding of the electrical characteristics of GE Vernova Solar & Storage Solutions power electronics products and their integration into electrical grids.
• Support continuous development of transmission and distribution connected products based on evolving codes and standards through participation in industry standards groups and leading innovative approaches to power equipment design.
• Communicate to both internal and external customers by preparing detailed written reports or presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions.
• Support domestic and international projects across regions depending on overall market needs and communicate customer needs and values back to GE.
• Participate in and support project teams ensuring high-quality deliverables, budget, and on-time project metrics are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or electric power engineering, or related field of study.
• 0 - 3 Years of relevant work experience is required.
• General understanding/awareness of electrical grid code topics.
• General understanding/awareness of country/region technical regulations and standards.
• Understanding of inverter-based electrical equipment.
• Must have strong communication and organization skills.
