Quality Analyst

AXA XL is hiring for the role of Quality Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Conduct detailed test analysis and preparation through the creation of estimates, test plans, test cases and scripts.
• Analyze and understand business requirements, then translate the business needs into functional and non-functional test scenarios/cases.
• Create comprehensive test plans/approach and manage them through to the sign-off process.
• Communicate the status of testing to your stakeholders through the collection of key testing metrics.
• Actively participate in your delivery team’s defect management process  i.e. log & track defects, attend defect triage meetings, assist with root cause analysis of defects etc.
• Determine how to implement the various stages of testing, e.g. System, Integration, Regression  etc. during the project lifecycle.
• Provide day-to-day support and guidance in test principles, techniques and tools to other testing team members.
• Actively take part in developing a test automation strategy and test automation script development to ensure maximum automated test coverage.
• Collaborate with our testing vendor partners as well as our AXA XL delivery team members to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and the timely delivery of software changes/enhancements.
• Identify, communicate and track testing risks & issues then help develop mitigation plans to bring them to closure.
• Work with the TCoE team to understand our best practices and effectively implement them on your assigned applications/projects to achieve our expected quality results.

Requirements:

• Effective understanding of software development methodologies, including agile.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks, tools, and best practices, especially TMMi and ISTQB.
• Robust knowledge of the various types of software testing – static, smoke, system, system integration, regression, UAT etc.
• Experience in database and API testing and knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, REST, SOAP services.
• Experience with testing applications hosted in cloud-based platforms such as Azure , AWS etc.
• Working knowledge  of test automation tools such as Selenium , Playwright, UFT ,RestAssured etc.
• Familiarity with JIRA & JIRA X-Ray.
• Experience working with teams across distributed geographical boundaries, particularly with the majority of the business representatives located in Europe and India.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with property & casualty insurance lines of business and products are preferred.
