Senior Tax Associate

Gartner is hiring for the role of Senior Tax Associate!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Responsible for preparation of consolidated US tax provision for US GAAP reporting purposes inclusive of collaboration with a wider tax team, calculation of ETR, SOX, and C-Suite deliverables.
• Responsible for preparation of US federal and state tax returns, inclusive of quarterly estimates and annual extensions.
• Assist with tax portion of US GAAP reporting (10Q and 10K) and technical research related to US tax accounting principles.  
• Roll forward, update and self-reviews of various US tax workpapers.
  Liaise with US tax authorities on behalf of Gartner to resolve tax audits and inquiries/notices.
• Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance compliance.
• Support team in all aspects of the function including project management, idea generation, process improvements and implementation.  

Requirements:

• Registered Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Tax Consultant (CTA)
• 2-4 years of PQE in a corporate tax team in a large public accounting firm or a multinational company.  
• Experience in working on international tax provisioning/reporting and compliance preferred.
• General working knowledge of US taxation principles and US GAAP ASC 740 concepts preferred but not essential.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion or similar ERP/ EPM
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel/Office. Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision, GAM, UTP and Corptax Returns (or similar tax software), Alteryx, PowerBI, Power Query preferred
