Mergers and Acquisitions:

• In the year 2013, Mphasis acquired Digital Risk. Digital Risk is one of the biggest independent providers of Risk, Compliance and Transaction Management solutions to the US mortgage market and was acquired in an all-cash deal valued at the US $175 million with an additional earn-out component.
• Blackstone India, the Indian arm of global private equity fund Blackstone Group L.P., in 2016 declared that it would buy 60.5% stake in Bengaluru-based information technology services provider Mphasis Ltd. Blackstone will buy the shares from Hewlett Packard Enterprise at ₹ 430 per share.
• In 2011, MphasiS acquired US-based Wyde Corporation for an undisclosed amount. MphasiS subsidiary entered into an agreement to acquire Wyde Corporation. Mphasis holds a 100% equity stake in Wyde. MphasiS will establish a Wysnure center of excellence in India, which will complement and support Wyde’s onsite teams France and North America.

News and Facts:

• A unique initiative, leading corporates in Bengaluru have come together to partner with United Way Bengaluru (UWBe), BBMP and Citizen’s Group to construct an eco-friendly Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) of 1 million liters a day (1MLD) capacity at the Mahadevapura Lake in the city. Supported by Amazon, Mphasis, Dell Technologies, HTC Global and BORDA, the multi-stakeholder the effort is aimed at rejuvenating the Mahadevapura Lake, which adjoins their offices at Bagmane World Technology Centre.
• Mphasis, an Information Technology solutions provider specializing in cloud and cognitive services, announced that it has been included as a ‘contender’ in ‘The Forrester Wave: Midsize Agile Software Development Service Providers, Q2 2019’ report by Forrester Research, Inc. According to the report, Mphasis ‘helps clients in catch-up Agile transformations’, referencing offerings such as agile coaching, knowledge transfer and its own Agile maturity model to assess clients’ readiness. The evaluation also acknowledges how Mphasis deploys its own framework for automated testing, combining its own intellectual property with open source tools, as well as Agile methods to transform core banking for two clients, proving its Agile and financial services credentials.
• Nitin Rakesh, Chief Executive Officer of Mphasis, an Information Technology solutions provider specialising in cloud and cognitive services, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award for ‘Tech Innovator of the Year– Services’ in The 17th Annual American Business Awards.
