Software Engineering Lead

LexisNexis is hiring for the role of Software Engineering Lead!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation within your team. 
• Collaborate with technical personnel and stakeholders to finalize requirements. 
• Write and review detailed specifications for system components. 
• Lead efforts to resolve complex technical issues. 
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and conduct code reviews. 
• Mentor and train junior software engineers, ensuring their growth and success. 
• Stay informed about new technological developments and apply them effectively. 
• Encourage innovation and accountability within the team. 
• Ensure all staff receive the resources, feedback, and support needed to excel. 

Requirements:

• A solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). 
• Experience with resource models such as Managed Services or Staff Augmentation. 
• Proficiency in at least one development language (e.g., Java/J2EE, JavaScript, C/C++, HTML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, .Net). 
• Knowledge of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles. 
• Knowledge of Search based Applications and Search Engine
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to lead teams in troubleshooting complex issues. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering collaboration. 
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in various development environments.
