Software Tester

Rentokil Initial is hiring for the role of Software Tester!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with the development team to comprehend project requirements and objectives.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, usability, regression, and performance testing on software applications.
• Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and inconsistencies.
• Work alongside developers to troubleshoot and verify bug xes.
• Create clear and concise bug reports and status reports.
• Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide testing insights.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in application testing.
• Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and strategies.
• Thorough testing of applications to ensure reliability and quality.
• Effective communication of issues and resolutions with the development team.
• Timely identication and reporting of software defects.
• Improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Competencies (Skills essential to the role):
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
• Prociency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Familiarity with testing tools and platforms.
• Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) would be advantageous.
• Experience with test management tools and version control systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and databases is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
