Responsibilities:
- Technical Knowledge & Industry-Specific:
- Materials and components are commonly handled in a switchgear and panel manufacturing store.
- Manage inventory of electrical components like MCCBs, ACBs, CTs, relays, and copper busbars.
- Experience with BOM (Bill of Materials) handling and coordination with the production team
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive electrical components
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Handle obsolete or slow-moving inventory in a production-oriented setup
- Experience with inward inspection and coordination with the quality team
- Inventory Management Practices:
- Inventory accuracy (e.g., perpetual inventory, cycle counting)
- ABC analysis or FSN classification
- Implemented any lean inventory practices like Kanban or Just-in-Time (JIT)
- Safety practices followed in handling and storing electrical components
- Familiar with ISO or other audit requirements for stores management
- Maintain MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and other regulatory compliance records
- Team & Vendor Coordination:
- Manage store assistants and ensure their work is productive and accurate
- Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all inventory transactions
