Barclays is hiring for the role of Technical Product Owner!
Responsibility of the Candidate:
- Responsible for the direction, roadmap, and delivery strategy of the product
- Create and maintain appropriate user stories within the product backlog
- Uses their technical background to bridge the gap between the product owner and the technical side of product development
- Has an exhaustive understanding of the company’s technology, which allows them to guide the product strategy and communicate it with the development team
- Review deliverables produced by the scrum teams, including the results of unit and integration testing of code, and support integration testing cycles.
- Contribute towards central forums, Best Practices, etc.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues
- Partake in all aspects of an iterative Agile development lifecycle
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the application support teams to ensure effective delivery and support of projects within the production environment
Requirements:
- The role holder must be a strong, technically-minded product owner / technical analyst
- The role holder must have strong time management skills and be able to juggle a complex and demanding workload
- The role holder must be capable of gaining an exhaustive understanding of the company’s technology, which allows them to guide the product strategy and communicate it with the development team
- The candidate will be educated to a degree level or above, preferably in computer science or a closely related discipline.
- Preferred:
- Excellent technical analytical skills: Being able to dissect a business issue; break it down into a manageable set of requirements; and identify, design, and describe how these requirements are to be fulfilled
- Excellent technical knowledge in AWS data environment with knowledge of technical essentials around AWS, Glue, Lake formation, Athena
- Experience with Cloud technology and best practices
- Experience in Data platform development and delivery e.g. data warehousing, big data environment
- Self-driven, proactive, and demonstrates initiative with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good leadership skills
- Experience working within an Agile development team
- Highly desirable - Data Architecture skills – conceptual modelling to mesh architecture
- Proficient in one of the core data domains of Client, Instrument, Investments

Mergers & Acquisitions:

- CSR Budget
