Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana, Himachal Pradesh

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana, Himachal Pradesh 2024-25, is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh to financially assist students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories of the state. The selected scholars will receive ₹10,000 per annum for two years.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, an applicant must- 

• Be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh
• Belong to either Scheduled Caste (SC) or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category
• Be enrolled in Class 11, 12 or professional/technical degree course in an institution within or outside the State for pursuing higher education after Class 10
• Have secured a position among the top 1,250 students in the SC category or top 1,000 students in the OBC category in the Matriculation examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE)
