About the Program:

The Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance Scheme provides financial assistance to students pursuing medical courses in government-aided, corporation, or private unaided colleges in Maharashtra. The selected students will receive a hostel maintenance allowance of up to ₹30,000 per annum.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
• Must be the child of a registered labourer and/or Alpabhudharak Shetkari (marginal landholder).
• Must be admitted to a degree course in a government-aided, corporation, or private unaided college in one of the following disciplines:
  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
  • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
  • BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
  • BPTH (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
  • B.Sc. Nursing
  • BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
  • BPO (Bachelor in Prosthetics and Orthotics)
  • BASLP (Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Dual-Degree Programs
• Must have taken admission in hostels located in major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur, or other locations in Maharashtra.
• Annual family income must be less than ₹8,00,000.
• Candidates admitted under General or SEBC categories are eligible.
