All that you need to know about International Academic Excellence Award
The International Academic Excellence Award is for beginning freshmen. It is renewable for three academic years (a maximum of four consecutive academic years). Additionally, at the end of each academic year, students must have a Southeast cumulative 3.0 GPA and complete 24 Southeast credit hours (may include Southeast summer hours).
Recipients who do not meet this renewal criteria, but do meet the renewal criteria for the International Achievement Award (IAA) will receive the IAA the following year.
Eligibility:
GPA 3.75 (high school)
Plus, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
If high school was done in a country that SEMO requires an English proficiency test for admission:
- IELTS Academic / 6.5, OR
- TOEFL iBT / 79, OR
- iTEP / 3.9, OR
- PTE Academic / 53, OR
- Duolingo English / 110
If high school was done in a country where SEMO does not require an English proficiency test for admission:
- ACT 27+, OR
- SAT (ERW+Math) 1280+
Benefit:
$8,000 ($4,000 fall and $4,000 spring)
