Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship 2025-26 is an opportunity offered by the PRS Legislative Research (an Indian non-profit organisation) for bachelor's degree holders in any discipline. It allows the selected fellows to spend 10-11 months working directly with a Member of Parliament, learning the ropes of law-making and public policy. Also, the participants will have the chance to meet experts from various fields and gain valuable insights into key policy and development issues facing the country. The selected LAMP fellows will receive a stipend of ₹23,000 per month during the fellowship.
Eligibility:
- Be an Indian citizen
- Be 25 years of age or below (born on or after June 1st, 1999)
- Hold a bachelor's degree in any academic discipline
Documents Required:
- Academic certificates/marksheets/diploma
- A 500-word essay justifying the candidature for the LAMP fellowship
- A 500-word essay analysing any issue and the related policy implications
- Details of work experience/internships/volunteer work (if applicable)
Benefits:
The selected LAMP fellows will receive a stipend of ₹23,000 per month. Additionally, the fellows will get an opportunity to work as full-time professionals with Members of Parliament (MPs) during the fellowship.
