All that you need to know about Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi 2023-24

Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Delhi 2023-24 is a centrally-sponsored scholarship offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and managed by the Department of Welfare of SC/ST/OBC. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to support students who are studying at the post-matriculation/post-secondary level. The selected students will receive up to ₹10,000 to cover tuition fees and an annual academic allowance of up to ₹10,000.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be an Indian national
  • be domiciled in Delhi
  • belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category
  • be studying at the post-matriculation/post-secondary level of studies in a government-recognized institution/college/university within India
  • have an annual parent(s)/guardian income of not more than ₹2,50,000
  • have secured an attendance of at least 75% in the previous year

The following applicants are not eligible for the scholarship:

  • Applicants, who after completing one stage of education, continue studying in the same stage but in a different subject e.g. pursuing an I.Sc. after an I.A., or opting for a B.Com. after B.A., or enrolling in an M.A. program in a different subject.
  • Applicants who, have already completed their education in one professional line, for instance, pursuing L.L.B. after B.T./B.Ed.

Benefits:

The selected scholars will receive the scholarship in the following manner:-

Group 4: All post-matriculation (after Class 10 level) non-degree courses 5,000 - 5,000

Note:

  • Students pursuing C. A ./I.C.W.A./C.S./I.C.F.A. shall be treated as day scholars for academic allowance.
  • Students studying through correspondence/online courses shall not be eligible for academic allowance.
  • Tuition fees shall be paid merely to online/correspondence students.
