Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST/BC/Disabled Category, Telangana 2024-25

Description: Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC/ST/BC/Disabled Category, Telangana 2024-25 is an initiative by the Telangana Government to support students from SC/ST/BC/Disabled categories pursuing higher education. Eligible students can receive tuition fee reimbursement for various courses, including intermediate, ITI, polytechnic, professional courses, graduate/postgraduate courses, and Ph.D. The reimbursement amount varies depending on the course, ranging from ₹850 per annum for intermediate courses to ₹6,90,000 per annum for medical courses.

Eligibility Criteria: 

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

• Be an Indian national
• Be a domicile of Telangana state
• Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Backward Classes (BC)/Economically Backward Classes (EBC)/Disabled Welfare category
• Have passed Class 10 and will be pursuing studies at the post-matric level
• Have secured a minimum of 75% attendance at the end of each quarter in Class 10
• Have an annual family income lower than:
• ₹2,00,000 for the Scheduled Caste (SC/ST) category
• ₹1,50,000 for Backward Classes (BC)/Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)/Disabled Welfare category of rural areas
• ₹2,00,000 for Backward Classes (BC)/Extremely Backward Classes (EBC)/Disabled Welfare category of urban areas

Rewards: Selected candidates will receive reimbursement of tuition fees ranging from ₹850 for intermediate courses to ₹6,90,000 for medical courses per annum. The tuition fee reimbursement will depend on the course of study.

Furthermore, the selected scholars will also receive variable maintenance or mess charges every month.
