All that you need to know about Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme 2024 is an initiative of the Government of Rajasthan, for students planning to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research programs abroad. Formerly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence, this scheme aims to provide scholarships to residents of Rajasthan pursuing higher studies in any subject/course at a top-ranked university/institution. This includes the top 150 universities globally according to the latest QS World Rankings and the top 50 institutions in India. Selected students will receive full tuition fees, including bench fees (if applicable), and a stipend for living expenses.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- Be a citizen of India
- Be a resident of Rajasthan
- Be less than 35 years of age as of 1st July of the financial year related to scholarship allocation
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. or postdoctoral degree
- Have received an offer letter/confirmation letter/admission letter from any of the universities/institutions listed in the latest QS Global Rankings or ranked within the top 1-50 overall in NIRF institutions
- Meet the following annual income criteria:
- Less than ₹8,00,000 (E1 category)
- Between ₹8,00,000 and INR 25,00,000 (E2 category)
- More than ₹25,00,000 (E3 category)
Note:-
- E1, E2, and E3 define distinct income brackets that determine the level of financial assistance awarded.
- Provisionally selected scholarship candidates must submit unconditional offer letters or admission letters within two months of their provisional selection. However, the scholarship eligibility will not be affected by financial details in the offer letter, such as fee payment requirements, other charges, or proof of funding.
Benefits:
The financial assistance for the selected candidates will be provided as follows:
