Many enthusiastic young engineers wind up wasting a great deal of time and money searching for RC expertise because they lack the necessary skills. We provide you with an amazing opportunity to showcase your RC racing skills.

Duration: 1 day (8 hours) on 3rd November (9 am- 5pm)

Rules and Certification:

• Application fee: Zero Rs. per applicant.
• No accommodation shall be provided to the participants. But we can help you to find suitable accommodation.
• Anyone who is interested can register.
• Participiants must bring their own RC nitro car as well as fuel required as per the regulations to compete. No kits or parts shall be provided. 

Certification:

• Certificates will be provided to all on successful completion after the event. 

Event Format:

• The event is divided into three parts, practice round, qualifying round and final round.
• Practice Round: Each team will be given 2 practice laps on the track.
• Qualifying Round: Every team will be given 2 lap race to give their best time. Top 10 teams will qualify for the final round.
• Final Round: Rounds of 5-lap races will conclude the winners of the race.
• Prize distribution will be held after the final round and the certificate of participation will be distributed. 

Team Specifications:

• A team may comprise students/professional hobbyists from any institution or members of RC club.
• The total number of participants in a team cannot exceed 5, that is 3 core members and 2 helpers.
• Each participant can be a part of one team only. If the same participant is found as a member of more than one team, it will lead to disqualification of both teams.

Vehicle Specifications:

• The machine should fit in a box of dimensions 700mm x 500mm x 600mm (l x b x h) at any moment of time during the race. The external device which is used to control the machine is not included in the size constraint. 
• RC nitro car of scale 1:8.
• The machine should be controlled by a wireless remote control mechanism throughout the race. 
• The machine must not be made from Lego parts, or any ready-made assembly kits other than the parts mentioned below:
• The tires must have a minimum diameter of 3 inches. You are advised to use tires of good width for better performance on dirt tracks.
• Any machine that uses DC Motors for propulsion will be disqualified. However, DC motors and servos can be used for steering mechanisms or any other control mechanisms apart from propulsion. 
• The machine must have an onboard power supply to run any mechanism requiring electric power. 
• The maximum allowed capacity of IC engine to be used is 4.6 cc (i.e. Participants can also use 2.5 CC, 3 CC, 3.5 CC or any other IC engine lower in capacity).
• The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not exceed 12V at any point of time. 
• There shall be a countdown preceding the start of the race. No participant is allowed to touch the machine during the countdown period. 
• The participants are advised to use proper air filters as dirt might cause serious problems to the engine.

General Rules: 

• The respective RC cars must be put in the start line. If any of the machines starts off before the flag is waved, the counter would be restarted and the machines will get a second chance. 
• However, if any machine starts off before the waving of the flag (or countdown) for a second time, it will be disqualified.
• Once the race starts, only the volunteers (corner marshals) have the right to reposition the car(in case of flipping), none of the team members should enter the track.
• The coordinators reserve the right to disqualify any team indulged in misbehavior.
• The track will have checkpoints at regular intervals. If a machine tumbles, halts, or goes off the arena at any point on the track, volunteers will lift it up and place it at the nearest checkpoint behind that point. Team members are not permitted to touch either their machines or those of their opponents once the race begins, the penalty for doing so is a disqualification.
• No rematch will be held for the second time. Teams are not allowed to purposefully damage the machine of the opponent's team. If found doing so on track (while racing), the concerned team will be disqualified.
•  Any machine that uses DC motors for propulsion will be disqualified. However, dc motors and servos can be used for steering mechanisms or any other control mechanisms apart from propulsion.
•  The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not exceed 12v at any point in time.

Track:

• The track will be an off-road dirt track with sharp turns and big jumps that will be designed in a way to test both the speed and control of the machine.
• Most parts of the track will be made up of soil; however, a few places, pebble-like materials and bumps may be used to create obstacles.
• The track will have checkpoints at regular intervals.
• A car successfully completes a lap when it reaches the starting/finishing point.
• A race will have multiple cars running on the track at the same time.
• A pedestal will be provided for drivers to control their vehicles. Drivers are prohibited from running around the track along with the car. The track may contain blind spots that are not visible to the driver.
• The design of the track will be disclosed on the day of the event itself
