455 students get placed in 2 days | IIM Lucknow Summer Placement Report 2018-20
Overview
IIM Lucknow’s Summer Placement recorded more than 140 companies on campus. Both national and international firms offered internship opportunities to students. This year’s trend also shows that IIM Lucknow is the most preferred institute for recruitment for the roles of Consulting, Marketing and Finance. Justifying this statement, the recruiters which actively participated for the role of Consulting are Bain & Co., The Boston Consulting Group, A.T. Kearney and McKinsey & Co., where Bain & Co. recruited students from IIM Lucknow for the first time.
Some top recruiters who visited the campus from different sectors were Aditya Birla Group, Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Fidelity Investments, ITC, HUL, TAS, Google among others. International profiles were offered by companies like Cipla, Bajaj Corp, HUL, Edelweiss, Deutsche Bank, M H Alshaya & Co and JP Morgan Chase & Co. This sector ruled the Summer Placement statistics of 2018-20 by rolling out a total of 129 offers. The major companies which recruited in this sector were Asian Paints, Airtel, HUL, Colgate Palmolive, J&J, ITC, Mondelez, MArs, P&G, Nestle, RP-SG Group (GIL) and Reckitt Benckiser.
BFSI
Offering the premium roles of the Global Market and Front-end Investment Banking, the BFSI sector saw recruitment from firms like Bank of America Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Citi. 76 offers in total were made in this sector by companies like American Express, Citi, Avendus Capital, DBS, CIRIL, Duff & Phelps, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Fidelity Investments, among others. Majorly, the roles offered were in Investment Research, Front end Investment Banking, Market Research, Global Markets, Retail/ Wholesale/ Corporate Banking, Trading and Operations.
Consulting and General Management
In the domain of Consulting, 98 offers in total were made by firms like A.T. Kearney, Auctus Advisors, Alvarez & Marsal, Accenture Strategy, Deloitte, Bain & Co., McKinsey & Co., PwC, MasterCard Advisors and The Boston Consulting Group. On the other hand, the domain of General Management witnessed participation from companies like Airtel, Vodafone, Mahindra, RPG, RIL, TAS, Star India and Aditya Birla Group among others. The maximum offers in this particular domain were laid by RPG and Aditya Birla Group.
IT/ E-Commerce/ Technology
In all, 87 offers were made in this sector by firms like Capgemini, Amazon, eBay, Google, MakeMyTrip, Flipkart, Microsoft, Samsung, Pepperfry, Uber, Swiggy and Wipro. The profiles offered were that of Category Management, Business Development, Sales Enablement, Product Marketing, Supply Chain Management Program Manager, Strategic Alliances and Analytics, in addition to that of IT/ Systems.
